I have found great friends and great fighting skills via many different arts and not just what is set down to practice in the Tao of JKD.
If you want to learn how to slip punches go see a boxing coach. If you want to learn how to swing a stick go see a Kali man.
Train everywhere with everyone in everything.
You are at present a branch swinger when you eventually come down to terrafirma you will probably thank someone like me for trying to help you formulate a descent ethic. But until that penny drops you are going to continue to talk garbage until there's no crap left in you, it's a process.
I just remembered part of the Linda Lee letter about Dan.

JKD is not just for fighting and can be learned anywhere at anytime from anyone.
The body is just the body but we learn from many people how to move it best.
Keep trying. I have hope for you to get out of your ONLY TRAIN IN ARTS THAT HAVE NO NAME BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS STYLES AND BLAH BLAH BLAGH.
Learn from who does it best.
I'm glad you pointed out that you do look at other arts and even make friends with other practioners. I'm a JKD Concepts guy for life but I've learned a few things just by going up to people and saying hi, what is that you're doing? I think that's what Bruce Lee and Guro Dan wanted all along, to keep exporing.
....and I think Jimi has turned his OJKD into the gospel truth....
get idiots spouting off on the internet. They should maybe find ways to be more productive and contribute like the people who posted this video instead of being so negative. I'm just referring to some of the comments made here....
